This policy covers Skin Moment (“we”, “us”) — the website skinmoment.com, our waitlist and email list, and the Instagram account @skin_moment. Joining the Skin Moment waitlist means your information is handled as described here.
What we collect
When you join our waitlist or email list. Your email address, consent, date and source of sign-up, selected audience segment, and the positioning version you saw.
When you contact us. Your name and contact details, and whatever you choose to tell us.
From Instagram. When you comment on or send a message to our Instagram account, we can see your Instagram username and the content of your comment or message. We use the official Instagram API provided by Meta to read this so we can respond to you and understand what our audience asks about. We do not collect anything from your Instagram profile beyond what is publicly attached to your comment or message.
Automatically. Standard website and email analytics — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and whether you opened an email or clicked a link in it. Our website and sign-up forms use cookies to make this work.
What you are signing up for
When you check the consent box and submit the form, you are asking us to email you the guide, product-development updates, research invitations, launch news and related offers. That is marketing email, and we are telling you so plainly.
You can stop at any time. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately, and we will not email you again unless you sign up again yourself. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How we use it
To send the guide and emails you requested. To respond to your questions on Instagram and by email. To invite you to optional research. To understand which topics and positioning versions are useful, so we can make better content and products. To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Who processes data for us
Klaviyo — email marketing, sign-up forms and list management. Our selected website host and email providers process data only as needed to provide their services. Microsoft supports our mailbox, and Meta Platforms operates Instagram. Each processes data under its own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
Email addresses stay on our list until you unsubscribe. Instagram comments and messages remain on Meta’s platform under Meta’s own retention rules.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting your own Instagram comment removes it from our view as well.
To make any of these requests, email hello@skinmoment.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in California. You may request the categories of personal information we have collected about you, request deletion, and request correction. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area. We process your email address on the basis of your consent, which you gave when you signed up and can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. You also have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
